Core settings for recording, dictation, and file management.
Workspace Folder
The workspace folder is where all recordings, transcripts, and summaries are saved. Each recording gets its own subfolder containing the WAV audio file, transcript JSON, and summary Markdown.

Hotkeys
Global keyboard shortcuts that work even when Echosy is in the background.

Dictation Mode
Choose how the dictation hotkey behaves:
Toggle
Press once to start dictation, press again to stop. Best for longer dictation sessions.
Hold
Hold the hotkey to dictate, release to stop. Best for quick voice input.
Screen Recording Permission
Shows whether macOS Screen Recording permission has been granted. This permission is required to capture system audio (any sound playing on your Mac, such as Zoom calls, YouTube, Spotify).
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording → enable Echosy. You may need to restart the app after granting this permission.
