Yes — Echosy Pro records up to 4 hours per session. The free tier records 15 minutes per session, which is good for trying it out or capturing short segments.
Does it work without internet?+
Yes. Transcription runs entirely on-device, so it works in lecture halls with no Wi-Fi. Internet is only needed if you use a cloud AI provider for summaries — or use Ollama locally for fully offline summaries.
Can I transcribe recorded lecture videos?+
Yes (Pro). Drag and drop video or audio files — MP4, MOV, MP3, M4A, WAV and 20+ other formats — and Echosy transcribes them locally with timestamps.
Will it understand technical terms?+
Echosy supports custom vocabulary (Pro): add course-specific terms, names, and jargon so the model recognizes them correctly.
Am I allowed to record lectures?+
