Dictation that respects your privacy
Most dictation tools stream your voice to a cloud server. Echosy doesn't: speech recognition runs on-device with local AI models (Qwen3-ASR and Whisper), so you can dictate confidential emails, legal notes, patient records, or unreleased work without anything being uploaded — even on a plane with Wi-Fi off.
How it works
- Place your cursor in any text field — any app, any website.
- Press ⌘⇧D (customizable) and start speaking.
- Press the hotkey again — the recognized text is pasted at your cursor.

What do I need to run it?+
A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 14+, and 2–5 GB of disk for the on-device models. Intel Macs can use the legacy v2.1.0 release.
